Are the student-focused services the same as tutoring?
The initial consultation will help each of us determine if I can help you meet your goals. I'll spend most of the time listening to your concerns and asking follow up questions to learn more about your unique situation, and we may also conduct a survey and specific questionnaire to help pinpoint your needs and generate ideas for creating a plan that meets your needs. This consultation will likely take 30-60 minutes.
Before our consultation, it would be helpful for you to try to list as many of your goals and obstacles as possible. This can be a really hard task, and you may need to just talk through the issues during our consultation in order for us to identify those goals and struggles together. That is totally fine! However, being as detailed and specific as possible will help me create the best plan for you as a follow up to our consultation.
A business professional may need an individualized productivity plan (IPP), an extensive document with your identified goals, roadblocks, and specific action steps. Depending on your area of need, the plan may contain personalized tools and systems, resources for further research and discussion, planners/ calendars tailored specifically to your needs, and/ or a recommended plan for weekly follow-up sessions.
No. Instead of subject-specific tutoring, we offer lifestyle habits and practices that can apply to productivity and accomplishment of goals across subject areas and across various contexts of one's life. We seek to help students learn and implement best practices for studying, organization, time management, mindfulness, and other important skills that would lead to success and productivity both in the academic realm and in the real world.
Parenting is hard! My job is to help you increase intentionality, build consistency, and close gaps from where your family is to where you want them to be. Whether opting for a calendar management service or just getting help with creating and implementing a set of systems, we’ll collaborate to get your family on a path toward your determined goals.
Absolutely. I have completed extensive professional development as well as years of field work with students of all learning styles and with a wide range of diagnoses. I have practical strategies and suggestions for students with ADHD, dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, and language disorders. Helping people with these diagnoses is one of the joys of my life!
