Are executive functioning support services the same as tutoring?

We can work directly with students to provide Executive Functioning support, study skills support, and also some subject-specific tutoring across a broad range of grades and subjects.  Areas for subject-specific tutoring include:

  • early literacy skills (K-3)

  • early Math skills (K-3)

  • Spanish 

  • Other K-12 subjects, by request

  • 16+ years in education (public and private schools, K-12)

  • 8+ years as a learning specialist, working with K-12 children with a myriad of learning differences (ADHD, dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, anxiety, language disorders, and more)

  • Completed coursework through ADDCA (life coaching for those with ADHD)

  • Orton Gillingham training

  • Orton Gillingham Math certification

No.  While tutoring focuses on subject-specific mastery and retention, executive functioning support develops a broad range of skills that include:

  • time management

  • organization of thought/ concepts

  • organization of materials

  • visualization of one's future needs

  • pre-planning to meet one's goals

Executive functioning skills are crucial to long-term academic and professional success, and we love helping develop these skills in both children and adults!​

Parenting is hard!  Our job is to help you increase intentionality, build consistency, and close gaps from where your family is to where you want them to be. Whether opting for a calendar management service or just getting help with creating and implementing a set of systems, we’ll collaborate to get your family on a path toward your determined goals. We also love to utilize surveys to open up lines of communication between parents and teens and determine what it looks like to actually work collaboratively toward common goals.

What experience does 901 Productivity Solutions bring to the table?

We can help business professionals identify their specific goals, roadblocks that are impeding their progress, and specific action steps to help them close the gaps in reaching those goals.  Depending on your area of need, this support may address personalized tools and systems, resources for further research and discussion, planners/ calendars tailored specifically to your needs, and/ or a recommended plan for weekly follow-up sessions.

Absolutely.  We have completed extensive professional development as well as years of field work with students of all learning styles and with a wide range of diagnoses.  We have practical strategies and suggestions for students with ADHD, dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, and language disorders.  Helping people with these diagnoses is one of the joys of our life!
